Winners of the republican contest Anashym were announced

KAZGUU University summed up the results of the social project for young mothers Anashym. More than 50 applicants participated in the contest. 10 mothers from different regions of Kazakhstan received educational grants, now they are able to obtain a quality education for free through advanced distance learning technologies.

As was announced earlier, the initiator of the contest in support of young mothers in Kazakhstan is JSC KAZGUU University. According to the organizers, the participants of the contest published their own essays on the topic “Future profession of my child”. In accordance with the terms of the project, the winners receive a free tuition in one of the six specialties of KAZGUU University in Distance Learning Center.

Assel Murzanova, one of the winners of the project, wrote the position of Ombudsman as a future career for her daughter Laysan in her essay. Assel made this choice according to the specifics of her own work – she is a member of the Committee on the Protection of children rights of MES RK and dreams that her daughter continued the family tradition and has made her own contribution to the development of areas aimed at protecting human rights.

“I am very glad that I decided to participate in the contest and I express my gratitude to KAZGUU for such opportunity. I am sure that my daughter Laysan will become highly qualified specialist in her field, my husband and I will make every effort so that our daughter become a worthy citizen of her country, grow up as a patriot and bring a lot of benefits for the prosperity of the country”, – a happy mother shared her impressions.

Also, the most active participants of the contest received coupon certificates with discounts from 10 to 20% for studying at the university. The implementation of social projects contribute to the implementation of KAZGUU’s main mission – serving people, giving them the opportunity to receive high-quality and affordable education in today’s realities.

Dear students!

We are informing about the commencement of accepting applications for participation in the academic mobility program for the fall semester 2024-2025 academic year.

Undergraduate students who have covered at least 60 ECTS credits, as well as graduate and doctoral students.

Criteria:

GPA level – 2.5, for Erasmus+ — 3.0
English language level – at least B2 level

The application and documents must be submitted through the web version of Smart KAZGUU, and electronic copies should also be provided in room #213 (on a USB flash drive).

List of required documents:

student’s application form (download);
a copy of the passport;
transcript of academic record for the current year of study (Russian and English);
a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (if available);
completed application form (download);
written consent of the applicant’s parents (guardians, legal representatives) to participate in the academic mobility program (download).
letters of recommendation in Kazakh, Russian or/and English (if available);
copies of certificates, diplomas, received for participation in the republican or international level events (if available);
copies of documents confirming the fact of belonging to the following categories: a family composition document to confirm the student’s large family status, a document verifying the student’s orphan or left without parental care status and a document confirming the student’s disability status.

Furthermore, kindly refer to the list of partner universities and available disciplines beforehand. It is essential to coordinate with your academic advisor regarding the selection of disciplines that align with your curriculum.

️As part of the project dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the opening of the Women’s Mentorship Club took place at Maqsut Narikbayev University.

The School of Liberal Arts held the public lecture on “Fair Trade in Northern Kazakhstan in the XIX and Early XX Centuries” within the research project AP14871281 “The Role of Merchants in the

Transformation of Social and Cultural Space of Kazakhstan in the Second Half of XIX and Early XX Centuries”.

Speaker: teaching professor Lepuda Mukatayeva Karimovna.

The lector presented the materials obtained from the studies in public archives of Almaty, Astana, and Petropavlovsk.

A group of researchers from the Department of Liberal Studies is involved in this scientific project. The SLA held the offline lecture with an online broadcast.

The historians from Almaty, Astana, and Kostanay participated in the discussion.
