KAZGUU is the leader in graduate employement

According to the data of the national report on the state of the development of the system of education, which was also confirmed by the State Centre for Benefit Payments and the Information and Analytic Centre of the Ministry of Education and Science of RK, demand for the specialists in the field of humanities trained at KAZGUU University is 88%. We are only behind KBTU, which dominates the technical field.

The lowest percentages of employment in the year following graduation, are shown by: International Humanitari-Technical University (44.5%), University of Foreign Languages and Business Career (43%), “Astana” University (42%), and Pavlodar State University (31%).

The high demand for graduates is an indication of the quality of the educational services provided at the univeristy. Throughout its history, KAZGUU has maintained its leading position in one of the most important criteria in education – the quality of graduates. This is supported not only by the high evaluation given to our university by the international and national accreditation agencies, but, which is even more important, by the companies who do not hesitate to employ young specialists with a degree from KAZGUU.

For example, 20% of the staff of the Prosecutor General’s office today are graduates of our university. This is the highest employment rate at the supervisory body among the graduates of all universities in Kazakhstan. Every fifth prosecutor in the country holds a degree from KAZGUU.

Thus, the strategic policy of the University is founded on the main principle – to provide a high-level professional competence for graduates, a status that is to be confirmed by national and international employers.

Dear students!

We are informing about the commencement of accepting applications for participation in the academic mobility program for the fall semester 2024-2025 academic year.

Undergraduate students who have covered at least 60 ECTS credits, as well as graduate and doctoral students.

Criteria:

GPA level – 2.5, for Erasmus+ — 3.0
English language level – at least B2 level

The application and documents must be submitted through the web version of Smart KAZGUU, and electronic copies should also be provided in room #213 (on a USB flash drive).

List of required documents:

student’s application form (download);
a copy of the passport;
transcript of academic record for the current year of study (Russian and English);
a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (if available);
completed application form (download);
written consent of the applicant’s parents (guardians, legal representatives) to participate in the academic mobility program (download).
letters of recommendation in Kazakh, Russian or/and English (if available);
copies of certificates, diplomas, received for participation in the republican or international level events (if available);
copies of documents confirming the fact of belonging to the following categories: a family composition document to confirm the student’s large family status, a document verifying the student’s orphan or left without parental care status and a document confirming the student’s disability status.

Furthermore, kindly refer to the list of partner universities and available disciplines beforehand. It is essential to coordinate with your academic advisor regarding the selection of disciplines that align with your curriculum.

️As part of the project dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the opening of the Women’s Mentorship Club took place at Maqsut Narikbayev University.

The School of Liberal Arts held the public lecture on “Fair Trade in Northern Kazakhstan in the XIX and Early XX Centuries” within the research project AP14871281 “The Role of Merchants in the

Transformation of Social and Cultural Space of Kazakhstan in the Second Half of XIX and Early XX Centuries”.

Speaker: teaching professor Lepuda Mukatayeva Karimovna.

The lector presented the materials obtained from the studies in public archives of Almaty, Astana, and Petropavlovsk.

A group of researchers from the Department of Liberal Studies is involved in this scientific project. The SLA held the offline lecture with an online broadcast.

The historians from Almaty, Astana, and Kostanay participated in the discussion.
