KAZGUU FEST – Open House at KAZGUU University

On 22 April 2017, KAZGUU University opened its doors to more than 150 graduates of the capital’s 30 schools, gymnasiums, and lyceums.

At the Majors Fair, representatives of the Higher School of Economics (HSE), the Higher School of Law (HSL), and the Military Training Department held consultations for the school graduates and their parents, talked about their departments’ achievements and awards. The school graduates got a full picture of the KAZGUU’s student organisations and their activities.

At the meeting, B. Aytenova, Deputy Director of HSL, informed the guests about the main advantages of studying at HSL, and made a presentation about the international internships and future employment opportunities. S. Erbolatova, a HSE representative, addressed the parents and school students, and told them about the academic mobility, dual degree and certification programmes

In addition, KAZGUU students prepared a quest game for the guests that included different tasks challenging their logic and speed of thinking. The graduates of of Astana’s schools visited the forensic polygon, M. Narikbayev Library, the Military Training Department, and other interesting sites within KAZGUU. Some guests enjoyed a weapons exhibition and a shooting range.

Dear students!

We are informing about the commencement of accepting applications for participation in the academic mobility program for the fall semester 2024-2025 academic year.

Undergraduate students who have covered at least 60 ECTS credits, as well as graduate and doctoral students.

Criteria:

GPA level – 2.5, for Erasmus+ — 3.0
English language level – at least B2 level

The application and documents must be submitted through the web version of Smart KAZGUU, and electronic copies should also be provided in room #213 (on a USB flash drive).

List of required documents:

student’s application form (download);
a copy of the passport;
transcript of academic record for the current year of study (Russian and English);
a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (if available);
completed application form (download);
written consent of the applicant’s parents (guardians, legal representatives) to participate in the academic mobility program (download).
letters of recommendation in Kazakh, Russian or/and English (if available);
copies of certificates, diplomas, received for participation in the republican or international level events (if available);
copies of documents confirming the fact of belonging to the following categories: a family composition document to confirm the student’s large family status, a document verifying the student’s orphan or left without parental care status and a document confirming the student’s disability status.

Furthermore, kindly refer to the list of partner universities and available disciplines beforehand. It is essential to coordinate with your academic advisor regarding the selection of disciplines that align with your curriculum.
