KAZGUU participated in the exhibition "Education and Career – 2016"

KAZGUU University staff held vocational guidance activities in Almaty city from 4th to

6th April. The work was carried out in secondary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums, where the

University staff gave a presentation on theme "The Benefits of Studying at KAZGUU." 11 th

grade students received advice and they applied for participation in the creative video contest "I

want to study at KAZGUU". All high school students, who were interested in entering

KAZGUU University, were given brochures about the University curriculum.

The University staff took part in the exhibition "Education and Career – 2016", which was

held in Almaty between 7 th and 9 th April, 2016. Over 100 Kazakhstani and foreign universities

participated and more than 1500 visitors attended the exhibition. Participation in the exhibition

allowed to convey to the target audience the main advantages of studying at KAZGUU

University. The University representatives spoke about the admission and study requirements of

KAZGUU, about academic mobility programs, also informed the 11 th grade and college students

about the contest "I want to study at KAZGUU". For guests of the exhibition were presented

videos about the achievements and rewards of KAZGUU, about current competitions and student

organizations. Moreover, contact details of potential university students were collected for

further consultations in the period of the University’s reception committee work.

Dear students!

We are informing about the commencement of accepting applications for participation in the academic mobility program for the fall semester 2024-2025 academic year.

Undergraduate students who have covered at least 60 ECTS credits, as well as graduate and doctoral students.

Criteria:

GPA level – 2.5, for Erasmus+ — 3.0
English language level – at least B2 level

The application and documents must be submitted through the web version of Smart KAZGUU, and electronic copies should also be provided in room #213 (on a USB flash drive).

List of required documents:

student’s application form (download);
a copy of the passport;
transcript of academic record for the current year of study (Russian and English);
a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (if available);
completed application form (download);
written consent of the applicant’s parents (guardians, legal representatives) to participate in the academic mobility program (download).
letters of recommendation in Kazakh, Russian or/and English (if available);
copies of certificates, diplomas, received for participation in the republican or international level events (if available);
copies of documents confirming the fact of belonging to the following categories: a family composition document to confirm the student’s large family status, a document verifying the student’s orphan or left without parental care status and a document confirming the student’s disability status.

Furthermore, kindly refer to the list of partner universities and available disciplines beforehand. It is essential to coordinate with your academic advisor regarding the selection of disciplines that align with your curriculum.

️As part of the project dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the opening of the Women’s Mentorship Club took place at Maqsut Narikbayev University.
⚡The goal of the Club is to support female students and staff at MNU in developing leadership qualities, increasing motivation, and strengthening belief in their own abilities and potential.

The School of Liberal Arts held the public lecture on “Fair Trade in Northern Kazakhstan in the XIX and Early XX Centuries” within the research project AP14871281 “The Role of Merchants in the

Transformation of Social and Cultural Space of Kazakhstan in the Second Half of XIX and Early XX Centuries”.

Speaker: teaching professor Lepuda Mukatayeva Karimovna.

The lector presented the materials obtained from the studies in public archives of Almaty, Astana, and Petropavlovsk.

A group of researchers from the Department of Liberal Studies is involved in this scientific project. The SLA held the offline lecture with an online broadcast.

The historians from Almaty, Astana, and Kostanay participated in the discussion.
