Astana residents supported KAZGUU’s charity project

A charity run took place at Astana’s Capital park, which was attended by representatives of financial institutions, national companies, public figures, and KAZGUU students. The participants supported the initiative of KAZGUU Endowment Corporate Fund to help the graduates of Astana and Akmola Region’s secondary schools to receive higher education.

Amateur athletes had an opportunity to demonstrate their stamina in the 5 km and 10 km races. In addition, there were tug-of-war and arm-wrestling competitions. The winners received cash prizes and letters of commendation. Visitors could also take group classes in yoga, Zumba and FIGHT.

All the money raised at this charitable event will be used to help talented young people and socially vulnerable young people from Astana and Akmola region to finance their education. In addition, it was announced that the general sponsor of the run, HEALTH CLUG & SPA GRAND PRIX, has provided a scholarship for a prospective student from a large family to study at KAZGUU.

The winner of the 5 km race was Ermek Bodauchanov (TengriBank), who received a 30 000 tenge cash prize from HEALTH CLUB & SPA GRAND PRIX.

The winner of the 10 km race was Kudaybergen Tokbanbetov (NurBank), who received a 50 000 tenge cash prize from HEALTH CLUB & SPA GRAND PRIX.

Next autumn, KAZGUU University is planning to hold a large-scale run for all the residents of Astana.
