Thanks to the accreditation that KAZGUU received from the international and national accreditation and rating agencies – CIMA, IQAA, ACCA and IQAA – KAZGUU has become the first university in Kazakhstan that was granted the right to award its own degrees starting from 2016.

According to an established tradition, the names of the top 28 graduates, including those with highest academic achievements, active participants in the social life of the University, and laureates and winners of international and Republican conferences, Olympiads, and seminars, were entered in KAZGUU’s Altyn Kitap (the Gold Book). The ceremony was concluded with a live concert with stars of Kazakhstan’s show business. The famous singers Marcel Alseitov and Kairat Bayekenov made special performances for the graduates of KAZGUU.

Part of the ceremony was a procession of graduates along the Themis’s Square, and laying the ‘Wish Capsule’. At the end of the event, graduates expressed their gratitude to their teachers and the management team of the University for the knowledge and skills they acquired during the years they spent at their Alma Mater.
