From April 1 Generation Next starts new art contest for GN Editor, GN Journalist and GN Blogger titles!!!

Do you like to write essays, keep your blog active, interestingly set out thoughts in writing or have you always dreamed of becoming a journalist or a magazine editor?

Than this contest is for you!

It’s simple: write and receive gifts!

To win the GN Editor nomination, you need to:

– write at least 5 unique opinion pieces on any topic that will be positive, useful, interesting for young people.

To win the GN Journalist nomination, you need:

– find at least 5 news items on any topic that will be positive, useful, interesting for young people and write it on your own as you can. Be sure to specify a source of information.

Attention:

! Articles must be at least 500 words and be accompanied by a thematic picture. You can write it in Kazakh, Russian or English. The text will be checked for plagiarism.

! Materials should be sent to gnproject2050@gmail.com from April 1 – to April 29. Results of the Contest will be announced on April 30 and could be found on gnext.kz and @gn_news in Instagram.

Winners in these categories will receive certificates in amount of 30 000 tenge to “The House of Rafe” new French restaurant

Dear students!

We are informing about the commencement of accepting applications for participation in the academic mobility program for the fall semester 2024-2025 academic year.

Undergraduate students who have covered at least 60 ECTS credits, as well as graduate and doctoral students.

Criteria:

GPA level – 2.5, for Erasmus+ — 3.0
English language level – at least B2 level

Application deadline: March 11, 2024

The application and documents must be submitted through the web version of Smart KAZGUU, and electronic copies should also be provided in room #213 (on a USB flash drive).

List of required documents:

student’s application form (download);
a copy of the passport;
transcript of academic record for the current year of study (Russian and English);
a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (if available);
completed application form (download);
written consent of the applicant’s parents (guardians, legal representatives) to participate in the academic mobility program (download).
letters of recommendation in Kazakh, Russian or/and English (if available);
copies of certificates, diplomas, received for participation in the republican or international level events (if available);
copies of documents confirming the fact of belonging to the following categories: a family composition document to confirm the student’s large family status, a document verifying the student’s orphan or left without parental care status and a document confirming the student’s disability status.

Furthermore, kindly refer to the list of partner universities and available disciplines beforehand. It is essential to coordinate with your academic advisor regarding the selection of disciplines that align with your curriculum.

️As part of the project dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the opening of the Women’s Mentorship Club took place at Maqsut Narikbayev University.

The School of Liberal Arts held the public lecture on “Fair Trade in Northern Kazakhstan in the XIX and Early XX Centuries” within the research project AP14871281 “The Role of Merchants in the

Transformation of Social and Cultural Space of Kazakhstan in the Second Half of XIX and Early XX Centuries”.

Speaker: teaching professor Lepuda Mukatayeva Karimovna.

The lector presented the materials obtained from the studies in public archives of Almaty, Astana, and Petropavlovsk.

A group of researchers from the Department of Liberal Studies is involved in this scientific project. The SLA held the offline lecture with an online broadcast.

The historians from Almaty, Astana, and Kostanay participated in the discussion.
