Agreement for Cooperation with The Hague Conference on Private International Law

On November 14, Talgat Narikbayev, Chairman of the Board of ‘M.Narikbayev KAZGUU University’ signed a cooperation agreement with Christophe Bernasconi, Secretary-General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kingdom of the Netherlands with the participation of Ambassador Magzhan Ilyasov. The organization includes 82 world countries. Kazakhstan has become its member state in 2017.

After signing the agreement, T. Narikbayev visited the Hague Office and held negotiations on further cooperation.

T. Narikbayev plans to open a representative office of the Conference at KAZGUU University and become its center in Central Asia, to implement its conventions in Kazakhstan, conduct joint research and lectures in the field of Private International Law, and send KAZGUU professors for internships.

Membership and cooperation with this high-profile organization can increase the investment attractiveness of Kazakhstan. Joining the organization has led to an improvement in Kazakhstan’s rating by two positions in the International Doing Business Report.

The Chairman of the Board of ‘M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University’ expresses his gratitude to Magzhan Ilyasov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Yerbol Nurmakhan, the Embassy employee, and Zhanibek Amanbay, a graduate of KAZGUU University.
