Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan Round Table at M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University

On December 11, M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University, with the participation of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Kazakhstan, has organized a Round Table on ‘the Role of the Leaders of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in Strengthening the Rule-of-Law Institutions based on the Traditions of the Rule of Law, Tolerance, and Multiculturalism’.

The event was dedicated to the memory of Heydar Aliyev, the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, and the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Agadzhavid Ramazanov, the Charge d’Affaires of Azerbaijan, and Miras Daulenov, Provost of M.Narikbayev KAZGUU University, delivered their welcoming speeches, emphasizing the role of the National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev and the First President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in developing bilateral relations.

Sergey Udartsev, PhD, Head of Research Projects on Legal Policy, Constitutional Law and Public Administration of the Professors’ Office at the S. Zimanov Academy of Legal and Economic Research, Nailya Almukhamedova, an Independent Expert, Muslim Khassenov, PhD, Senior Lecturer of KAZGUU University, Lead Specialist of the Institute of Legislation and Legal Information, as well as Arman Suleimenov, the Executive Editor of the ‘History of Kazakhstan’ portal, have made their in-depth reports during this event.

It is worth noting the excellent moderation of the event by Alua Zholdybalina, PhD, Head of the Department of Social and Political Studies of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who made the Round Table’s atmosphere free and relaxed.

Dear students!

We are informing about the commencement of accepting applications for participation in the academic mobility program for the fall semester 2024-2025 academic year.

Undergraduate students who have covered at least 60 ECTS credits, as well as graduate and doctoral students.

Criteria:

GPA level – 2.5, for Erasmus+ — 3.0
English language level – at least B2 level

Application deadline: March 11, 2024

The application and documents must be submitted through the web version of Smart KAZGUU, and electronic copies should also be provided in room #213 (on a USB flash drive).

List of required documents:

student’s application form (download);
a copy of the passport;
transcript of academic record for the current year of study (Russian and English);
a document confirming the level of proficiency in a foreign language (if available);
completed application form (download);
written consent of the applicant’s parents (guardians, legal representatives) to participate in the academic mobility program (download).
letters of recommendation in Kazakh, Russian or/and English (if available);
copies of certificates, diplomas, received for participation in the republican or international level events (if available);
copies of documents confirming the fact of belonging to the following categories: a family composition document to confirm the student’s large family status, a document verifying the student’s orphan or left without parental care status and a document confirming the student’s disability status.

Furthermore, kindly refer to the list of partner universities and available disciplines beforehand. It is essential to coordinate with your academic advisor regarding the selection of disciplines that align with your curriculum.

️As part of the project dedicated to the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the opening of the Women’s Mentorship Club took place at Maqsut Narikbayev University.
⚡The goal of the Club is to support female students and staff at MNU in developing leadership qualities, increasing motivation, and strengthening belief in their own abilities and potential.

The School of Liberal Arts held the public lecture on “Fair Trade in Northern Kazakhstan in the XIX and Early XX Centuries” within the research project AP14871281 “The Role of Merchants in the

Transformation of Social and Cultural Space of Kazakhstan in the Second Half of XIX and Early XX Centuries”.

Speaker: teaching professor Lepuda Mukatayeva Karimovna.

The lector presented the materials obtained from the studies in public archives of Almaty, Astana, and Petropavlovsk.

A group of researchers from the Department of Liberal Studies is involved in this scientific project. The SLA held the offline lecture with an online broadcast.

The historians from Almaty, Astana, and Kostanay participated in the discussion.
