KAZGUU has organized mock examination for secondary school graduates of Astana as preparation to forthcoming UNT in Kazakhstan. Candidates had an opportunity to be tested in real examination conditions. KAZGUU gives high school students this chance the 3rd year in a row by implementing a large-scale project «ENT Life», which is aimed at socio-psychological adaptation and guidance of pupils.
In this mock UNT took part about 500 graduates of secondary schools / lyceums of Astana and Arshalinsk region of Akmola district. Testing of this format allows not only to improve students’ knowledge and to assess the degree of preparation for the UNT, but also directly familiarize the process of examination. Testing was conducted in conditions as close as possible to those that will be created during the exams.
Participation in the mock testing is carried out on the request of graduates on a voluntary basis.
In general, as previously reported, KAZGUU University provides full support for children in the framework of memorandum of cooperation with school organizations. In particular, seminars on psychology for senior students of schools in Astana have become a regular practice to enhance stress resistance, attention and memory development.
It should be noted that this year in order to be enrolled to national universities of Kazakhstan it is required to score 70 points, in all other universities pass rate on a fee paid basis was set at 50. The MES RK informs the UNT in Astana will be held at KAZGUU, ENU and Agro-technical universities.
